Willie Creear wasn’t invited to Indianapolis for the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine, but he was one of many players who got to an opportunity to showcase his skills in front of scouts at a regional combine.

The 5-foot-10, 192-pound Eastern Michigan cornerback put on quite a show, posting an incredible 47-inch vertical jump in Denver at the Broncos’ training facility. That mark bested the scouting combine-record-tying 45-inch vertical jump we saw last week in Indianapolis from Georgia wide receiver Chris Conley, which went viral shortly thereafter.

“The group erupted and the news spread quickly around the training facility,” said GridironGrit.com’s Barry Barnes (also the Founder of LockerReport.com), who attended the regional combine in Denver.

Creear told Barnes that he had a solid basketball background, but chose football because of his strength and power.

To put his showing in perspective, Creear actually bested the vertical leap of 6-foot-8 NBA star LeBron James.
